Edward International Academy (EIA) participate in the 2026 Korea International Education & Career Fair

Recently, Edward International Academy (EIA) was invited to participate in the 2026 Korea International Education & Career Fair. The campus covers a total area of 12,000 square meters and is the largest closed, full-time boarding school in western Ontario. Edward International Academy officially established and commenced operations at its China headquarters in Hangzhou

The summer of 2024 is a memorable time, as Mr. Zhijie Tian, Chairman of Edward International Academy, visited the Edward International China headquarters to provide guidance.

The Edward International headquarters is located in the beautiful Wulin No. 1 Tower A by West Lake. Let’s follow Chairman Tian as we explore the Edward China headquarters.

Meeting

Upon arriving at the China headquarters, Chairman Tian and his wife, Ms. Tang, received reports on relevant work from Mr. Ni Jun, Vice Principle of Edward International Academy, Mr. Yu Hang, Chief Operating Officer, and Ms. Ge Shana, Chief Admissions Officer, and offered their guidance.

Chairman Tian gave a detailed introduction to the basic situation and operations of Edward Academy through a video presentation, covering the school’s unique advantages, educational features, teaching philosophy, future plans, and student life etc.

After gaining a thorough understanding of the school’s basics, everyone actively discussed the school’s future development plans and domestic recruitment strategies.

Appointment

Following the work discussions, Chairman Tian, on behalf of Edward International Academy, appointed Vice Principle Mr. Ni Jun as President of the Greater China Region, Mr. Yu Hang as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Greater China Region, and Ms. Ge Shana as Chief Admissions Officer (CAO) of the Greater China Region.

Thus, the historically significant Edward International Academy officially established and commenced operations at its China headquarters in Hangzhou.

The newly established China headquarters will fully leverage the strong resources of EIA and actively expand domestic enrollment. We are dedicated to creating individualized teaching plans for each student, fully considering their interests and personalities.

EIA OSSD Online Courses Fully Launched

Since September 2023, when a portion of the OSSD online courses at Edward International Academy in Canada was launched, after six months of operation, the online course system, with its excellent course arrangement, rich and diverse explanations and exercises, flexible and independent learning mode, as well as convenient and clear layout design, has received unanimous praise from students and collaborating schools. It has successfully helped students who choose to study online to receive offers from many prestigious universties. Recently, Edward International Academy in Canada has decided to open all OSSD online courses to provide more comprehensive online course support for students who need to study online.

This course system adopts the most advanced course design concept in Canada. The content design of each course is based on the standard specifications of OSSD, using various forms such as audio, video, game interaction, forums, exercises, assignments, and tests to make it easier for students to complete course learning efficiently and obtain OSSD course credits.

The course adopts asynchronous teaching design. All courses can be self-studied by students according to their own time planning. The learning time is flexible and the learning effect can be enhanced through repeated learning. There is no need to be affected by school scheduling or time differences. If encountering difficult problems, students can also apply for one-on-one tutoring by teachers of our school to answer questions and clarify doubts, greatly improving learning efficiency and facilitating students to achieve satisfactory results.

The course guidance and assignment correction are personally conducted by teachers of Edward International Academy, and are supervised and managed personally by the academic principal of the school. Through timely and effective communication with students, students are urged to complete learning and assignments on time, ensuring high-quality teaching.

The online courses cover a wide range and offer all courses required from grades 9 to 12 of OSSD, far exceeding the requirements for high school graduation. Students’ Daily Assignments

As we say goodbye to 2019 and welcome 2020, here at Edward International Academy we are excited to share two journals from our students’ daily assignments.

Mike and Terry both enrolled at Edward International Academy in 2018 who now are currently studying in grade 10. In this short period of less than two years, they have achieved remarkable progress in all aspects. These two articles have been highly recognized and praised by their teachers, not only in grammar and complicated sentence patterns, but also in language expression! Their teacher Miss Helen is proud to announce that “they have even reached the writing level of the students she taught at her previous college”.

These two articles are a true testimony of the students’ trust and love for EIA; as teachers and staff, we are proud to provide our students with a happy, healthy, and safe learning and living environment.

2019 Summer Camp

Edward International Academy of Canada provides a summer camp for students to study abroad for a short time. During the two weeks, students not only enhance their English ability but also gain self-confidence through communication, interaction and cooperation with peers.

In ESL classes, the activities help students to improve their critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and leadership. Additionally, local Canadian students are invited to join the program in order to allow the campers to closely experience Canadian culture and life.

Summer camp also provides flexible outdoor activities. A boat tour to charming Lake St. Clair on a luxury yacht; Visit the beautiful town of Wallaceburg with Mr. Mark, the director of Edward International Academy security department; Listen to fire knowledge presentation; Visit the radio station; Experiences of horseback riding and golf course. These new experiences enable students to have a deeper experience of Canadian culture and local life while having a lot of fun.

Under the guidance of the teachers, the students visited most of the Canadian famous scenery, such as the Royal Ontario Museum, Niagara Falls, Notre-Dame Basilica, and Parliament Hill of Ottawa, the capital of Canada. Numbers of top universities are included within the tour: the University of Toronto, Brock University, McMaster University, and Western University. Each university has its own distinguishing feature. After those universities’ visiting, most of the students start to plan their future, which is a good thing, because once a goal is planned, they will work hard on it and this is very hard to be learned in class. This program helps the students have a good understanding and the direction of their future study. The teacher also arranged some tasks, such as hotel check-in and check-out, ordering food, or buying parking tickets, etc. The practical activities strengthened students’ communication skills with native speakers.

Students spent three-day camping in Pinery Park which is the largest and famous camping base in Ontario. The forest supplies students with a natural and pristine outdoor environment. Watching the sunset and playing on the beach, having a campfire party, visiting a reptile show, which helped students enjoy exploring the mystery of knowledge in nature.

At the graduation ceremony, Mrs. Susan Hera, the principal of our school, presented each student with a graduation certificate of Edward International Academy summer camp. Our teachers and psychologist conducted assessment and instruction to help students develop an understanding of their own, to meet their true selves. During the summer camp, students learned how to get along with people, which makes them get spiritual wealth and become successful in the future.

After the graduation ceremony, the students and the principal planted an apple tree on the campus, symbolizing each student’s success in their future, and we are looking forward to meeting with the students again at Edward International Academy.
