 ——Edward International Academy Summer Camp

 Who we are                                           

Edward International Academy is a co-educational boarding high school in SW Ontario, Canada.  Our historic building is located on the banks of the scenic Sydenham river in the quiet, rural community of Wallaceburg, ON.

We have students from all over the world and Canada coming to join us for our unique summer program.  Learning is done thematically around topics of interest to young people and that are culturally relevant.  There is much to see and do.  We can’t wait for you to join us.

Campus is located in Wallaceburg, Southwest Ontario, 
Canada. It is on the bank of beautiful Sydenham river and close to Lake 
St. Clair, 2.5 hours from Pearson International Airport in Toronto.

Students who attend our summer camp will have the opportunity to learn English in the context of Canadian Culture.   Classroom instruction is led by qualified, caring teachers in our bright, open learning spaces. The activities provided will help students to improve their critical thinking, creativity, team work and leadership. Students can experience Canadian style school and open their eyes to world-class education.

Summer camp also provides psychological assessment courses with high experienced psychologist. Students will be evaluated, observed and instructed to have a full growth during the camping experience to meet their true selves. (Begin Here, Meet Yourself)

Students will also have the opportunity to travel though out the local region and the province to learn more about Canada and her culture, to understand more about Canadian Universities, programs and to experience the Canadian history and nature.

Why Edward International Academy                                                      

  • Self Developed

Teachers, camping site, dormitory are all owned by Edward International Academy, all the activities and courses are designed and developed by the school. We are not working with third party organization to make sure the quality and safety of the summer camp can be guaranteed.    

  • Small class education

Summer camp will divide the students into 5-10 people small groups based on their own personality and will. The teacher will make sure every student is taken care of. School also invite local Canadian kids and international students to join the program to increase the diversity and to help the campers to closely experience Canadian culture and life.    

  • Focus on practical experience

Summer camp program is led by experienced Canadian high school teachers. The program is designed to focus on practical experience. We have our own 1-10-20 module, which means each class will focus on one practical theme, will grasp 10 theme related sentences and 20 English words. The campers are required to use the theme knowledge learned in the class to perform daily tasks.

  • Care of individual

Our program invited famous psychologist to conduct psychological assessment, observation and instruction to help student develop the understanding of their own, to meet their true selves. After the summer camp, the students will be awarded the Edward International Academy Summer Camp certificate, but also psychological assessment report based on the students’ performance, to give parents the suggestions how to guide their kids to success in the future.   

  • Varieties of activities

Our summer camp is designed with theme-based topics including learning style, etiquette, travel, life and recreation. Students have opportunities to join all kinds of activities like hiking, golfing, kayaking, camping, universities visits and travel.   

  • Safe and comfortable

Edward International Academy provides the best camping site. It is the largest closed boarding school in SW Ontario, 24/7 security patrolling and monitor system. Students will have a nice and safe experience during their stay.  


School provide double room, controlled access, boys/girls dorm separated, in suite washroom, and free WIFI.


Program also provide meals plan, make sure students can get balanced nutrition during their stay.


Camping site has laundry room, fitness room, Gym, library, etc. All the facilities are open to the campers.

Short trip will be on the school bus. Long trips will be on the travel bus to make sure it is safe and comfortable.     

 Schedule                                                     

Day 1


Arrival Pearson International Airport from Shanghai Pudong International Airport, take school bus to Edward International Academy and check in to the summer camp.

Welcome Ceremony and dinner.

Day 2


Summer camp opening ceremony. Campers introduction and Adolescent psychological evaluation and coordinator match . 

ESL class (Topic: Canada culture and life, learning Style and Method ).

Welcome Dinner .

Day 3


ESL class (Topic: Western Dinner Etiquette and Culture).

Lunch(Western Food, the topic knowledge learned in the morning class will be used. Campers need to order with minimum support provided)

Local Activity and Boat tour to beautiful Lake St. Clair.

Dinner and group discussion.

Day 4


ESL Class (Topic: Travel Knowledge: Flight, Hotel, Tourism, Shopping North America Geography and Sceneries ).

Dinner and after dinner activity.

Day 5


Travel to Toronto, Start the University and Sceneries travel 

Visit University of Toronto, St George Campus, feel the learning and culture atmosphere.

Downtown Toronto, CN Tower (the tallest tower in Canada), Harbourfront to experience Lake Ontario.

Check in Hotel and Dinner, the topic knowledge learned in the ESL Class will be used. Campers need to check in with minimum support provided.

Day 6


Visit Royal Ontario Museum(ROM).  

Tour to Ottawa.

Boat of City to experience Night Life in Ottawa.

Day 7


Visit Parliament Hill and the Changing of the Guard event in Ottawa.

Tour to Montreal, feel the French-Language culture.

Visit Notre-Dame Basilica, one of the best Roman Catholic Churches.

Visit Montreal old town and enjoy smoked meat.

Day 8


Tour to Thousand Islands and Boat tour. The Thousand Islands are a group of more than 1,800 islands in the St. Lawrence River, straddling the border of the U.S. and Canada.

Visit Yorkdale Shopping Center in Toronto.

Day 9


Tour to Niagara,Niagara Falls, Boat tour on Maid of Mist to closely experience the largest waterfall in the world, and check in the hotel with Lake View.

Day 10


Visit Brock University, McMaster University and Western University, understand more about top programs each University can offer and experience the living facilities and campus. 

Back to EIA.

Day 11


ESL Class (Topic: North America Water protection, Fishing).

Mitchell’s Bay to experience Lake St. Clair Beach. 

Day 12


ESL Class (Topic: North America activity: Hiking, Hockey, Golf).

Golf court to learn Golf basics.

Watch Movie.

Day 13


ESL Class (Topic: Human and Nature, Camping).

Trip to famous Camping site (Pinery).

BBQ Party

Day 14


Continue camping in Pinery, Hiking, Biking, kayaking.

Day 15


Outdoor activities and psychological reassessment.

Trip back to school.

Dinner and Graduation.

Day 16


Closing Ceremony, Trip to Pearson International Airport. 

Arrival to Shanghai Pudong International Airport.
