This course system adopts the most advanced course design concept in Canada. The content design of each course is based on the standard specifications of OSSD, using various forms such as audio, video, game interaction, forums, exercises, assignments, and tests to make it easier for students to complete course learning efficiently and obtain OSSD course credits.

The course adopts asynchronous teaching design. All courses can be self-studied by students according to their own time planning. The learning time is flexible and the learning effect can be enhanced through repeated learning. There is no need to be affected by school scheduling or time differences. If encountering difficult problems, students can also apply for one-on-one tutoring by teachers of our school to answer questions and clarify doubts, greatly improving learning efficiency and facilitating students to achieve satisfactory results.

The course guidance and assignment correction are personally conducted by teachers of Edward International Academy, and are supervised and managed personally by the academic principal of the school. Through timely and effective communication with students, students are urged to complete learning and assignments on time, ensuring high-quality teaching.

The online courses cover a wide range and offer all courses required from grades 9 to 12 of OSSD, far exceeding the requirements for high school graduation. Students can flexibly choose according to their own needs. It provides flexible course selection options for university application to make up for insufficient credits or hours.

Students and parents who have the need for OSSD online course learning are welcome to contact the school at any time to inquire about specific matters. Contact email: jacktian@edward-edu.ca

The 2023 Graduation Ceremony of Edward International Academy

The 2023 Edward International Academy graduation ceremony was held recently on our school campus. Its with great pleasure and honor to announce that EIA achieved a major milestone again, by graduating our students since the academy restarted after the pandemic. All of the students, staff, and board members attended the grand ceremony.

Principal Eric Tian delivered a speech expressing his heartfelt congratulations to the graduates, hoping that graduates will continue to carry on EIA ‘s tradition of achieving reputable results in their studies and lifestyle. Jack Tian, The CEO and Chairman of EIA, presented the Ontario Scholar Award issued by the government of Ontario to Terry Liang who was the outstanding graduate of EIA in 2023.

Terry Liang gave a speech to share his learning experiences since first attending Edward International Academy back in the fall of 2018, as a grade nine student who was curious about this new country that he now lived in. As an international student, he adjusted well into Canadian life, with a fine balance of pursuing his education, while getting to know his community here in Wallaceburg, Ontario. Terry made lofty goals which were attainable due to his work ethic, but also strived to live a well-balanced lifestyle dedicated to health and fitness, as well as pursuing his music talents in the local Wallaceburg community orchestra. Due to his dedication and all around wonderful and vibrant personality, Terry was accepted into the Rotman School of Business and our school couldn’t be any happier for this young man.

Other students also expressed their determination to study hard for now and years to come, and strive to be admitted to their dream university. Congratulations to the graduates of EIA and best wishes to every student in creating a bright future for themselves at our school.

Students’ Daily Assignments

As we say goodbye to 2019 and welcome 2020, here at Edward International Academy we are excited to share two journals from our students’ daily assignments.

Mike and Terry both enrolled at Edward International Academy in 2018 who now are currently studying in grade 10. In this short period of less than two years, they have achieved remarkable progress in all aspects. These two articles have been highly recognized and praised by their teachers, not only in grammar and complicated sentence patterns, but also in language expression! Their teacher Miss Helen is proud to announce that “they have even reached the writing level of the students she taught at her previous college”.

These two articles are a true testimony of the students’ trust and love for EIA; as teachers and staff, we are proud to provide our students with a happy, healthy, and safe learning and living environment.

Dear students and parents,

We welcome you to join us in writing a new chapter of success for 2020.

2019 Summer Camp

Edward International Academy of Canada provides a summer camp for students to study abroad for a short time. During the two weeks, students not only enhance their English ability but also gain self-confidence through communication, interaction and cooperation with peers.

In ESL classes, the activities help students to improve their critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and leadership. Additionally, local Canadian students are invited to join the program in order to allow the campers to closely experience Canadian culture and life.

Summer camp also provides flexible outdoor activities. A boat tour to charming Lake St. Clair on a luxury yacht; Visit the beautiful town of Wallaceburg with Mr. Mark, the director of Edward International Academy security department; Listen to fire knowledge presentation; Visit the radio station; Experiences of horseback riding and golf course. These new experiences enable students to have a deeper experience of Canadian culture and local life while having a lot of fun.

Under the guidance of the teachers, the students visited most of the Canadian famous scenery, such as the Royal Ontario Museum, Niagara Falls, Notre-Dame Basilica, and Parliament Hill of Ottawa, the capital of Canada. Numbers of top universities are included within the tour: the University of Toronto, Brock University, McMaster University, and Western University. Each university has its own distinguishing feature. After those universities’ visiting, most of the students start to plan their future, which is a good thing, because once a goal is planned, they will work hard on it and this is very hard to be learned in class. This program helps the students have a good understanding and the direction of their future study. The teacher also arranged some tasks, such as hotel check-in and check-out, ordering food, or buying parking tickets, etc. The practical activities strengthened students’ communication skills with native speakers.

Students spent three-day camping in Pinery Park which is the largest and famous camping base in Ontario. The forest supplies students with a natural and pristine outdoor environment. Watching the sunset and playing on the beach, having a campfire party, visiting a reptile show, which helped students enjoy exploring the mystery of knowledge in nature.

At the graduation ceremony, Mrs. Susan Hera, the principal of our school, presented each student with a graduation certificate of Edward International Academy summer camp. Our teachers and psychologist conducted assessment and instruction to help students develop an understanding of their own, to meet their true selves. During the summer camp, students learned how to get along with people, which makes them get spiritual wealth and become successful in the future.

After the graduation ceremony, the students and the principal planted an apple tree on the campus, symbolizing each student’s success in their future, and we are looking forward to meeting with the students again at Edward International Academy.

Begin here,Meet yourself! We can’t wait for you to join us!

2018 WAMBO

Welcome to Wallaceburg’s 2018 Wambo!  Wambo is one of Canada’s largest antique car & boat shows.  Every second weekend in August Wambo the antique car & boat show is held in downtown Wallaceburg.  Wambo features classic cars, antique boats as well as antique models and toys. There is plenty of local shopping, food vendors and live entertainment throughout the weekend.  There’s something fun for everyone in the family during Wambo.  Some classic events that take place during Wambo are the push karts, art in the park, toy shows, and the card board boat races.

Our very own students here at Edward International Academy gladly took part in competing in the cardboard boat races. A huge thank you to our local Home Hardware store in Wallaceburg for supplying all the discounted duct tape necessary to complete our cardboard boat. Mike & Terry as well as a few staff worked very hard in completing “Merry”, Edward International Academy’s cardboard boat.  The students did an excellent job in building “Merry”.  The boat made it across the river with no sinking. Mike & Terry were awarded a trophy for the completion of the race.  The students were very proud of their accomplishments as well as the staff at Edward International Academy.
